INTRODUCING HEART OF THE SHIRES SHOWROOM & STORE

Last month we posted a news article featuring our showroom at Bell Plantation Garden Century in Towcester. So for this month the focus is on our Heart of Shires showroom and store which is located near Weedon.

Let’s start right at the beginning and tell you a little bit of history about the site our showroom is located on. Heart of the Shires was originally built in 1867 as a farm owned by the Thornton family who lived in the elegant Jacobean Hall at Brockhall. It was once called ‘Home Farm’ and is quite clear today when you walk around Heart of the Shires that it was for agricultural purposes. The old farmhouse is now a tearoom, some shops are in low roofed buildings that were once stables and others are in what was once the barn. We love our showroom and store being in such a quirky Victorian building where you will find a treasure trove of interiors. Although not as big as Plantation House in Towcester, we still are able to showcase our beautiful furniture, fabrics, wallpaper, paint and home accessories. As with Plantation House literally everything in our showroom can be purchased (excluding our team) during your visit.

When we opened at Heart of the Shires nearly 22 years ago we built the business on being able to source and find unique items for homes or as gifts, matched with offering a personable service, and this is still very much part of our focus today.

For those of you reading this post that have never visited you must come over and take-a-look as you’ll find everything you need for a complete home redecoration. You do not have to worry about booking an appointment for a visit, please just walk in and browse. We are open Monday to Sunday from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

We are very easy to find, as we are located just off the A5 between Long Buckby Wharf and Weedon. Situated between junction 16 and 18 of the M1, and about 20 minutes from Daventry and Northampton. When you arrive there is plenty of free onsite parking.
