Pamela Gearing

Pamela, who runs Texture Interiors, started her career in business before spending almost 20 years working in Marketing and Communications. It was during this time that she rediscovered a personal love for sewing and chose to pursue this passion full time. She completed diplomas in Soft Furnishing, Upholstery and Interior Design and went on to set up her own highly successful Soft Furnishings and Upholstery business Russet House Furnishings.

With the success of Russet House came the opportunity for Pamela to take over ownership of Texture Interiors. The business has gone from strength to strength and at the beginning of 2020 the opportunity to expand into Plantation House at the Bell Plantation proved too good to miss. Despite Covid19 and the 3-month lockdown, Texture Interiors @ Bell Plantation opened its doors on 28th August 2020.

In her spare time Pamela enjoys walking with her husband Robin and her dog Basil in the beautiful countryside

Basil

Probably the most important member of the Texture family is Basil – Pamela’s lovely Airedale Terrier. Customers pop in just to see him and you will often find him in the office at both shops being the best employee a dog can be. We even have a footstool named after him!

Basil loves walks, Bonios, chasing squirrels and all of his many comfy beds

Elspeth Fountaine

Elspeth has been with Texture since 2014 and joined us after 10 years working for Laura Ashley Home Furnishings. Having also spent some time making curtains she has a solid knowledge of fabrics and soft furnishings and has made herself an indispensable part of the team working closely with our clients to help create and form their ideas. She has an amazing eye for colour and an ability to pull out the perfect scheme when tasked.

Elspeth lives and works with her husband on their family farm and when not working at Texture spends time competing with her horse, Pie, at national Events

Jackie Peel

Jackie has been a valuable member of the Texture team since 2018 so is a familiar face to many of our regular customers.  As mother to four grown up boys, a houseful of Golden Retrievers, and two beautiful granddaughters, Jackie is proficient at multi-tasking with calm patience.  She relishes the challenge of working with our customers to find the perfect sofa, fabric, wallpaper or gift and always has time to make sure our customers are well looked after.

When not at Texture Jackie continues to satisfy her natural creativity by baking, knitting, furniture painting and playing her part on the Church flower rota.

Jackie looks after Texture’s social media presence and will respond to all messages left through Instagram or Facebook.

Hana Brough

When not working at Texture you will find Hana weaving away in her own little studio shop. Being obsessed with textiles and a lover of all things interiors, Hana discovered her craft of handweaving whilst studying Textile Design at university in Falmouth. After this she spent time in the working in world of interiors on the south east coast in Brighton.

Having moved up to the Midlands over 4 years ago, and focusing on her own brand, Broughs Handwoven, Hana joined the Texture team in September 2019. You will find her rearranging the shop or on hand to talk anything textiles – working in both stores 2 days a week.

Lyndall Cross

Lyndall is one of our newest recruits and has joined the Texture team as Administrator, so has the onerous task of keeping us all organised.

Originally from South Africa, Lyndall has a young daughter and step-daughter so is a full-time mother as well as invaluable team member. She has a strong business administration background and a passion for interiors so is looking forward to immersing herself into the beautiful world of Texture.

She enjoys gardening, walking the dog and spending time with her family.

Jo Groom

After Graduating from Royal Holloway, University of London, Jo’s passion for style grew when she lived and worked in Northern Italy where she fell in love with the country, its people, style, culture and, of course, food!  Since then, she has developed her appreciation of a wide variety of designs, having helped style a 17th Century country cottage, an early 19th Century Georgian farm house and more recently a barn conversion.

A jam-packed home life with two children, husband, and dogs has highlighted to Jo the need for practicality when it comes to styling a home; function is just as important as form!

Jo leapt at the chance to join the Texture Interiors team with the opening of the new showroom at Bell Plantation.  She thrives on being busy and likes nothing more than spending time helping clients choose furniture, fabrics and accessories for their own homes.

Outside work, Jo is passionate about fitness and well-being and can often be spotted out running, cycling or outdoor swimming. She also retains her love for all things Italian and regularly attends conversation evenings. Jo also enjoys her Book Club  and Walking Group – hiking in the UK and abroad.
