With Spring now officially upon us we have been continuing to source lots of lovely seasonal stock for you. This month our focus turned to fabrics and we attended London Design Week at Chelsea Harbour’s Design Centre, which ran from the 12th -17th March. Well-established as the world’s premier destination for design it offers couture for the home. Housing 120 showrooms and over 600 of the world’s most prestigious luxury brands, it is the largest of its kind in Europe. London Design Week is a chance to engage more deeply with the latest design developments as brands open their doors to showcase their new Spring collections.

We viewed collections by Manuel Canovas, Osborne and Little, Sanderson, Zoffany and many others. The common theme that seems to be running through many of this season’s new collections is nature. Fresh designs embody the British love affair with horticulture and gardens as prints of trees, branches, leaves, and flowers emanate nature in forest greens, earthy tones, mineral hues and beautiful vibrant colours.

Sanderson’s new collection has taken inspiration from the Persian Gardens of 500BC to the Baroque Gardens of the 17th Century and beyond to create their ‘Art of the Garden’ Fabrics. Osborne and Little has brought out a new fabric range called ‘Enchanted Garden’ and for something more exotic see the new collections from Manuel Canovas.

All are perfect for creating a timelessly elegant look that is fit for modern living and we’re really looking forward to bringing them into new interiors schemes. Our showroom copies have arrived so to view them all pop in store and lose yourself in a world of nature.
